New Building At Camp Lee

Camp Lee is extremely EXCITED about our new Building Project to replace the church building which was lost to a fire in 2009.  The new building will be located right above the Grove Dining Hall overlooking the lake. The new building will have a meeting room (capacity for 120), two bunk rooms (20 beds in each room) a kitchenette, and a large screen porch. The building will be completely handicap accessible! Our estimated completion date (for everything except the bunk rooms and stone work outside the building) will be June 18th.

Camp Lee’s insurance is covering a great deal of the cost of this new building. Our home church, First United Methodist Church Anniston, has made so many contributions to Camp Lee over the past 42 years.  Therefore, we are seeking donations from church groups and former campers who have been blessed by the ministry at Camp Lee.

Our goal is to raise $24,000 by August 15, 2010, to finish the bunk rooms and stone work outside the building.  Camp Lee is viewed as holy ground for the thousands of young people and adults who have visited over the past 42 years.  $5, $10, $25 or whatever amount you feel led to give will help Camp Lee make this project a reality for the 3,500+ children, youth and adults who visit each year.

If you would like to donate towards the completion of this building, please use the DONATE link below:   On behalf of the thousands of future campers to use this new building, thank you for providing a place where young people and adults may experience God in a natural setting.
